What are you looking for?

I prefer to DM but like playing as well. If I DM what I am envisioning is a group of mature players who neither take themselves too seriously (we have outside lives) nor get too easily side-tracked while playing nor are too chaotic to be a good group. I like a mix of gritty, grim seriousness and high spirited fantasy where the players are the good guys and despite their flaws and occasional wrong turns (a good guy can still lust for gold, glory and maidens) they generally are epic heroes. I like to see characters grow from 1st to high level. It would be best if we have a mix of men and women, especially if there are spouses (though my wife does not play). Biography

I began gaming as a project in my junior high advanced English class. Now I have played every version of D&D except the old wood grain boxes. I like them all well enough but my true passion is for Rules Cyclopedia era Classic D&D. I played in high school and part of college then took a break during graduate school and the early part of my career. After several occasional games I really got back into it a few years ago, starting my own group playing Classic and also playing 3.5 and 4E.
