What are you looking for?:

I'm setting up to run a GURPS 3rd revised (with houserules) European-based fantasy game in the near future, and due to life interfering, we could use another player or two.
I'm figuring that it should be predominantly an urban campaign, but the players aren't bound by that. Mystery and intrigue will most likely be the overt focus, but there's going to be a lot of potential for exploring the world, your character, and his worldview.
The group is pretty well established, and we use the time for socialization as well as for gaming. Tangents and tabletalk are frequent. Most of the group will be learning the system, so having previous experience is even more optional than usual.
If you're interested in exploring a fairly detailed environment, problem-solving, and have a pleasant personality, we should get along just fine. If you want "kewl powerz" and to talk about how wonderful you are, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

Started D&D with the red box, shifted to AD&D, then to RQ, etc. GURPS is by far my favorite system, but I've dabbled with quite a few others.
I'm a Simulationist, with Narrativist tendancies. Or a Tactician with Storyteller tendancies. Or one of the countless other classifications we've come up with.
I'm middle-aged with kids, so the five-or-so hours we game a week is most of my social life.
