    Hey Krypt, if you are willing to slum it with old school for a bit until you get a 4e group, we have a Wed night AD&D game in Santa Monica a couple times a month. It's a bit more progressive than straight 1st ed. (old school heart with modern sensibility). We just had a true blue 3.5 guy come in with one eyebrow raised the other week, but got him won over pretty quick. Hey, it's all about the gameplay, not the system, right?

    I'm really into character development in long-term campaign play. I'm a role play guy, but I've been trying to bump up the combat and action a bit more lately. The players seem to like that!

    Hit me with an email if you might be interested. Next week would actually be a great session to get somebody new in.

The main thing I'm looking for is a game using the D&D 4th edition rules. I would say I tend to prefer games with regular combat encounters, although I am open to more roleplaying if the story/situations, etc. grab me.

Biography:
I'm a 26 year old video game designer. I have yet to get the opportunity to play a pen & paper RPG "in person," due to not knowing anyone interested in them (thus why I signed up here). I do own several 4th edition books and have been dabbling in play-by-post D&D 3.5 and 4th edition games online for the last year or so, and I feel that I've gotten a pretty firm grasp on the rules.
