    Also, I would've chosen 65% RP/ 35% Combat if it existed but alas it did not. I am perfectly content to let an entire session pass with no combat but I like rending orcs as much as the next guy. I am NOT a rules lawyer, or munchie min-maxer (though to some degree everyone makes their character efficient). I do not NEED power stats (17,18's) and I do prefer D&D 3.5 (I have no real interest in 4E, though I did buy the PHB). I LOVE the tactics of combat and am usedto playing with a battlemat and miniatures (I also paint them....). Thanks for your inquiry.

    Coincidentally, my wife does have an old college friend that lives out in Flemington, I'll ask her how long it takes her to drive out there...

    But I should tell you a bit about me first. I am currently in a game (in Brooklyn - so I am willing to drive some distance, plus stying in NJ saves me $$$) that is going to end in early August as my DM is moving away to pursue his PhD. Yeay for him, boo for us. Another of my regular group is thinking of assuming the mantle, but as of yet that has to be determined. I suspect that a few months in I will know whether or not that group will continue or break-up. I already know for certain that one current player will no longer play with us once our DM is gone. So, I figured that I would just start doing some research into other possibilities. I too, have considered running a campaign of my own, but that would occur in NJ and not NYC.     WWell, I have a family with two young children (1 and 3 1/2) that I try not to take too much time away from on game days. Unfortunately, this factors into any commute I may have to make. So, I figure the most I'd like to drive is 30-35 minutes. Not sure if you are that close to me.

I would've selected 60% Role-playing/ 40% Combat if possible.

I am a long time gamer who likes to have fun. There are no really bad games (well there are a few, remember the bar charts for Marvel Superheroes? And the I.C.E system required nothing short of a PhD to run. And RIFTS, well, Ouch....) only negative attitudes. I enjoy a serious gritty game, a light-hearted comical farce, or an old skool dungeon crawl. I also like to paint miniatures, though am finding it harder and harder to find the time I wish I could dedicate to it.

My favourite game to play is Dungeons & Dragons 3.5, I prefer to play but have run campaigns as well. I enjoy committing to a long-term story and group. I prefer low-magic, role-playing intensive, plot driven campaigns with character revelations and development. Yet, I do however like rolling dice and combat. I am using to playing on a battlemat/tact-tiles and using miniatures, cause that's just fun.

I haven't yet gotten a chance to try Pathfinder, but really wanna give it a go.

I am a 36-year old, mature gamer. I am a happily married man and proud father of two. I consider myself normal, despite my wife's insistence that I am an uber-geek, that is laid back, fun to role-play with and a good sport. I have been known to adopt a 'voice' for some characters (yeah, I know,.... dork) as I like to develop them fully as real personaes - I swear that I am NOT all Mazes & Monsters ;) I commit to a gaming group as I consider them friends and look for others who enjoy a similar attitude.
