As I feared we were not far enough out. We were found by a patrol. We took care of them rather easily, but in our state of exhaustion it could have been bad pretty quickly. We took the unconscious leader of this group too as we decided to go back to the ant hive to find a place to finish our rest. Now we are probably about two hours from our previous spot of maximum advancement within the kenku lair. And that much further from finding Leo. We do have two kenku who hopefully can provide us
So much happened today, and we definitely have some trouble. I just hope we have time to sort it all out.
I will start at the beginning though. During our rest, Xamra and Tulanthris heard some kenku passing by that were unaware of our "campsite". They overheard just enough of their conversation to learn of a secret passage that after a bit of searching we eventually found. It wasn't really hidden, just different from the others. It rerouted us by, I'm sure, several workers
Before departing the ranch for the hills we collected the kenku's cloaks of feathers in an effort to hide our scent once we were inside the hills. We also have with us a shirt of Lleyn's so that maybe Manny Moss will recognize us as friends. We found an entrance to the hills slightly buried over in a pit that Lleyn described to us before leaving his ranch.
We were almost immediately swarmed by ants upon entering their hive, and the cloaks of feathers were not very effective at disguising
We have made it to the hills almost without event. However we have learned alot just recently. On our way here we passed a farm that was desserted. We found giant ant activity and kenku feathers. We almost made it to the hills when we came across a ranch we now know as the Marshal ranch. It was being raided as we arrived by kenku and giant ants. We ended up killing all the ants and most of the kenku, but were able to knock the leader of this group unconscious and captured another that was
Tulanthris came to us this morning with news of some elementals creating some sort of cyst from the elemental chaos in the nearby hills. Apparently they haven't created it yet or we definitely would have known by it's proximity to Camberton. Leo and Tulanthris went to the Academy Library this morning and have received a map of the area on loan. It appears that the likely spot for this is less than a day's travel by horseback to the west of the city.
