Wings Over Rokkasho will begin on Saturday, December 20th. However, I've been hit by an unexpected scheduling issue that night. I will need to start wrapping up the session at 6:00 pm PST and absolutely must head out by 6:30 pm. If any newcomers are joining the game on that day, please be...

Allabar, or some aspect of it, orbits broken and defeated within the nameless vortex between planes of existence. Miraculously, the six legendary heroes of their era who confronted it survived with their bodies and minds intact for the most part. Allabar was not just a threat to the city-state of...

The snow started falling at sunset on the longest night of the year. By half-past four, the sky was pitch-dark and traffic out of Morioka was already a mess even though nothing was sticking yet. The trains were still in service, but there's no rail station north of Lake Ogawara these days. ...

Scorching Burst might eventually cause a cave-in but who knows how long that will take? It may be hours or days. As an area of effect spell, though, it will be much handier at clearing out the massed bugs than Eldritch Blast. Also, now that we've started the player posting period, I'm hoping...

There might be some suitable boulders of that type down where the kanks are. A one foot diameter roughly spherical limestone boulder weighs about ninety pounds, so it's not getting tossed too far, but it could get dropped into the depths of the room. That will necessitate entering the room. ...

For the initial tests, the ones whose results are described in the narrative thread, I don't think a floating disk is necessary. Let's hold off on that for a bit longer, until something more extreme is done with more of the meat. As far as picking off the bugs piecemeal goes, if the swarm...

Speaking for Konstansz on the earlier question of area-of-effect attacks, warlocks tend towards spells that only have single targets. She has used one close range area-of-effect spell in the past: Music of the Spheres, which is a straightforward encounter-frequency spell that causes thunder-based...

I've heard the topographical map trick. You cna reverse that as well and drop the waterlines. Naming conventions are always good to have. It givce an area flavor. Incidentally in England you can tell the areas that use to be the Danelaw by the town names.

So far, so good. Cutting off a small piece will take negligible time. The only questions for this stage are who tosses the chunk, where do they toss it, and if they have to enter the room to do it, where's everyone else?

http://translate.google.com is the bestestest tool out there for exactly the reasons Tesral listed - you type in ONE word (or a series) and you can get about 30 different foreign words for it/them. What about the mass damage for a first level character? 1d6 hitting two out of every three attacks, all day long, never running out of blasts? Wow. I'll give it a whirl, though.

I don't mind. That is what gaming is. My son and group are a bit on the power gaming side. However I have used it and it balances will with pathfinder classes. I would play test as is before making changes.

I'd like to join the Adventure Writer's Guild. I may be an inexperienced DM, but I've got enthusiasm and a fertile imagination. I'd like to learn how to better harness those traits to benefit everyone.
  2. Sure....let me come up with a better idea than the one I put up, then.

Hey Ben... I've been thinking about the adventure writers guild and while i see it as a cool opportunity, there's really only a few motivated people up there. I want to keep pushing to see if we can collaborate as a group, but i would like to put forward may a little side effort between just you and I. Basically same thing, we'll both come up with an side trek idea and then we do your first, and collaborate to finish mine after that. I've never worked collaboratively before and i don't want my first experience, which seems like its gonna be a lot of drawn out online exchanges, to sour me to it. You really got this group started, and you seem really motivated in the adventure writing area... sooooo.... interested in collaborating just between you and I? I understand if not... it means yet another thing to put effort into and family always take priority... but let me know if it may be something you want to do.

Entering Elder Daven

by DM_Running_Farland_3.5 on 04-26-2009 at 12:37 PM
After leaving the sheriff behind in the custody of the village priest, the Ely, Rana and company continued on to Elder Daven.

They nearly fell victim to a strangely clean ogre that was plying the "trade" on the road to Elder Daven.

Heinrich managed to sneak up behind him and attempted to hamstring him but failed. When the ogre finally got the chance to go on the offensive, Heinrich found himself with a 50-pound great axe lodged in his left shoulder.
