Yes, this is just a best-of test. Concerning Noxias's rolls, I'm using the Dungeoneering because it was tagged as such. The others were also specified, so they go to their various categories whether those are used or not. I have already taken the Arcana Check into consideration, since it's not...

Mr. Al Gore - THANK YOU for inventing the internet. Stupidly simple problems have been vexing me, and because of your invention, people on the other side of the country have been able to lend their assistance! Okay, from Word, I was able to export my Primer as a .pdf - and went from 40mb in a...

Not the MessySoft kind. Real solid physical windows with glass in them. Last Saturday we at long last got rid of the 90 year old windows a in this 90 year old house. The change is amazing. No rattles, hardly any road noise, and best of all no drafts. This comes courtesy of my wife wining...

Okay, I'll put a ToC up as soon as I can get to it. Now for tech questions: 1. I use GiMP to edit pics - which leaves them HOLY CARP big in size. Even when I export them into .png files, they are still usually 12+mb in size. Is there a better way to do this? 2. I use CutePDFWriter to "print"...

I'm looking for a table of contents thing. What is the layout of the book., Wikis can be a finicky beast to deal with. They have they own formatting styles and are not flexible. I've used HTML tricks to force some things, but fighting it is more work than it is worth in the end,. How did...

Tes, are you looking for a "Table of Contents" type outline, or something more? I can do either/both, but will need more specific request/directions for the "more" stuff. Oh, and I will NEVER do a dump - once finished, it becomes public domain. I have WAY too much plagiarized stuff in there to...

I'm not sure which of the two pieces of rope Rogur grabs, or whether he chooses a new 50' length of rope. However, I'll assume the rope he goes with is long enough for the stated effect in the narrative thread.

There is a point, deep in the mists, where Rogur finds himself walking next to a rope lying on the ground. The rope, and the ground, seems to move closer to him or further away from the side depending upon whether he walks forward or backward, behaving like some reflection in an angled mirror. ...

There is"top" link at the bottom of each page to return to top; could we have a jump to bottom link for moving to the bottom of a long thread link placed at the top of each page, please? It would be handy when I'm posting from a mobile device that doesn't have a page up or page down function.

The roll many pick one is an Iron Claw mechanic. You skill/ability is based on the dice and type you get to roll from d4 to d12 and the number of dices, some times of mixed types.

no clue abut iron claw, i was borrowing from dnd5. task types ≠ action types. the task type simply sets a suggested base difficulty.

I'd like to join the Adventure Writer's Guild. I may be an inexperienced DM, but I've got enthusiasm and a fertile imagination. I'd like to learn how to better harness those traits to benefit everyone.
  2. Sure....let me come up with a better idea than the one I put up, then.

Hey Ben... I've been thinking about the adventure writers guild and while i see it as a cool opportunity, there's really only a few motivated people up there. I want to keep pushing to see if we can collaborate as a group, but i would like to put forward may a little side effort between just you and I. Basically same thing, we'll both come up with an side trek idea and then we do your first, and collaborate to finish mine after that. I've never worked collaboratively before and i don't want my first experience, which seems like its gonna be a lot of drawn out online exchanges, to sour me to it. You really got this group started, and you seem really motivated in the adventure writing area... sooooo.... interested in collaborating just between you and I? I understand if not... it means yet another thing to put effort into and family always take priority... but let me know if it may be something you want to do.

Entering Elder Daven

by DM_Running_Farland_3.5 on 04-26-2009 at 12:37 PM
After leaving the sheriff behind in the custody of the village priest, the Ely, Rana and company continued on to Elder Daven.

They nearly fell victim to a strangely clean ogre that was plying the "trade" on the road to Elder Daven.

Heinrich managed to sneak up behind him and attempted to hamstring him but failed. When the ogre finally got the chance to go on the offensive, Heinrich found himself with a 50-pound great axe lodged in his left shoulder.
