What are you looking for?:

Currently I'm gearing up to start a new campaign. I have 2 players and we need one more who is gay friendly and comfortable in a mixed age group (we range from 20s to 40s). We plan to use the Pathfinder rules, but anyone familiar with D&D3.5 should have no problem. I like players who are interested in creating and growing their character as the game/story unfolds. For me, roleplaying is like writing a story where I come up with the plot and antagonists but I don't control what the main characters do. Sometimes I lead where the story goes, but just as often I will follow the direction that the players take, which has led to sometimes surprising and fun places I never expected. As for combat, I like terrain/weather and other situational challenges that can turn an easy battle into something that requires strategy and thought to get through. You should never expect monsters to appear straight out of the books. As a DM I enjoy creating challenging situations, puzzles and combat that is not just stand and hit. I have my own campaign world and usually prefer to run games there because I'm so familiar with the history, politics, NPCs, etc. I typically am the DM, but also enjoy playing. As a player, I need to be engaged in the storyline and given the chance to be creative in how I get through a challenge. I typically enjoy games up to about level 12-14, higher than that and it can get too hard to manage.

Mostly D&D. I also enjoy a lot of board games such as Roborally, Cosmic Encounter, etc. My last campaign ended Oct. 2008 and I'm looking to get back into it. I can't play more than 2X per month typically.
