What are you looking for?

On the GM side: I prefer players who are more interested in good storylines and character development, but without sacrificing too much in the way of heroic action (say 50/50 ideally). Power gamers, lone rangers, rules lawyers, chaotic evils, munchkins can happily find other games to play in than mine. I usually run fantasy with a heavy element of Celtic myth to it, and modern settings with a High Weirdness bent (Invisibles, Illuminatus!, etc). Unless it is consistent with the setting, I discourage anachronisms and prefer to maximize ICP during sessions, saving extraneous OOC chatter for breaks and beginnings/endings of games.

On the player side: I mainly look for a consistently run, fair game. I have played in pretty much every conceivable genre, and can adapt to anything, so long as there is a good story and good players.

Biography

I started in '83, so I have played quite a few games over the years. Cut my teeth on the red D&D boxed set, moved to a little-known, but well designed, game called "High Fantasy" (by Jeffrey C. Dillow). We then tried all the old TSR offerings (Boot Hill, Gamma World, Gangbusters, Star Frontiers), usually rotating games and GM duties, though I ended up being the primary. I've played Iron Crown's Middle Earth Role Playing, the various versions of D&D (AD&D, 3rd Ed., the WotC incarnations, etc), Call of Cthulhu, Vampire, Mage, Changeling (old and new), Rifts, Champions, Various Chaosium games, Adventure!, Swordbearer, Nephilim, etc. I'm sure there are some I've forgotten.

As for myself, I'm old-school, prefer story-heavy games that also don't skimp on possibilities for action. I like reliable players who are mature and out to have a good time (and who are able to arrive on time). Basically, people who got high marks on their "able to work and play well with others" grade report.
