What are you looking for?:

When I play a game, I really need the story to be going somewhere. I want to be involved in something in the world, be it a political plot, military operation, or institutional research. I like it when the character I play does something important. For instance, in one game, I played with a group of adventurers uncovering a conspiracy between merchant princes to devour a sultanate and take over a desert. I enjoy role-playing, but need to have some combat involved as well, and REALLY like to do puzzle-solving.

Please note, I'm not a snob: I like it when the DM attempts this stuff, but some of my favorite games were spent with failed attempts at these devices.

Hey. I started going to UPitt 3 years ago, still haven't found a game. I used to DM for 4 years with friends back home, so I'm not looking to run a game for a while still. I play online sparingly, if it's really enticing. Since I'm really starting the search in earnest, I'm updating the profile and everything.
