What are you looking for?:
Experienced player (and GM) looking for a game with heavy roleplaying and character/world interaction. I'd rather convince the dragon to trade the Shield of Shininess for the Sparkly Gems. And I'd rather be several counties away when the dragon discovers the Sparkly Gems are glamoured glass covered with nondetection than stay and dance ... but a good fight against a villain can be satisfying, too.
About Me
Biography:
D&D, and then AD&D. Skipped 2nd edition. Love 3.0/3.5 and am becoming more and more impressed with Paizo's Pathfinder. Have tried both GMing and playing 4E and found it to resemble a computer RPG game (too light on the R for my taste) with COOL! mechanized combat ... only if I wanted to play in that style, I'd play a computer RPG.

I currently GM a Tuesday night game (and so am unavailable on Tuesday nights) weekly. I've been running this game for 7 years (OK, different campaigns ...) and would love to play some of the cool concepts I've come up with in those 7 years as a PC. They vary, and I think I can come up with something that's not only cool, but game-appropriate. I won't try to run Darth Hello Kitty in a Call of Cthulhu - style horror game!

I avoid group leader positions (too close to DMing when I'm in a player mode), I provide rules advice only when asked (or at least I aim for that!), prefer good parties (intra-party conflict is rarely interesting to me), and wizard/cleric characters, although I've played just about everything once. I have a current hankering to play a fallen paladin (mechanically a fighter who got thrown out of paladin college), still good, but ... well, not quite up to the paladin level of commitment, and defensive over his failings.
