What are you looking for?

I started playing pen and paper RPGs in the mid-80's with the Basic D&D set. Although I like to use minis every now and then, I'm not a fan of the direction recent versions of D&D have gone to with a focus almost entirely on tactical skirmishes. I'm looking to either join or create a group with more of a focus on story, characters, and plot, than merely killing things and taking their stuff. As a GM, I like light rules systems such as Savage Worlds, or Rules Cyclopedia D&D, etc. I enjoy roleplaying, but I don't take it too seriously... I like to relax and have some laughs around the table. My current obsession is Savage Worlds (any setting).

Biography

I've played all versions of D&D except for OD&D (white box). I've played several indie RPGs such as Shadow of Yesterday and Dogs in the Vineyard. I have ran games such as Toon and Faery's Tale for my daughter and wife. I also enjoy board games and card games. If I had my way, I'd play 2-3 times a week but real life interferes, so my ideal group would be one that plays every other week or so.
