What are you looking for?:
My group just started, so we're looking for someone who wouldn't mind starting over with a brand new character, using the Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition rules.
Tenatively, we are planning on going through at least one heroic-to-epic adventure (levels 1-30). Simply put, the adventure that we are about to start on is of the "Mystery" genre, with a "World-Shaking Events" theme. That's all I'll say right now.
Sometimes, for either simplicity or simply fun, we eschew certain rules, so "rule lawyers" are the least wanted players. And though we want all types of players in this game, "roleplayers" would be especially appreciated. People who know how to keep their character true to their background, and how to act accordingly.
About Me
Biography:
I've never played anything but D&D. To tell you the truth, I don't really want to. Although I sometimes blur reality between the realms, (I often steal quite a bit from the forgotten realms,) the standard world of D&D has more than enough for me to play for years and years.
Um... more about myself. I've never truly been a "player." Sure, I've been in that position at times, but early on in the game, I was thrust into the job of DMing... thus never getting the feel for being a player.
As to how often I play... that would be: as often as I can. I have a lot of free time, and would play a lot more if I could find more people to play with.
Commitments: I'm currently DMing for a group that JUST started up, almost entirely made up of new players. I've already got most of the game world done, so I don't acutally have all that much work to do when DMing with them. They don't seem to be too interested in playing very often, thought, so that probably wouldn't get in the way of me playing with another group.
As a last note, and the most important thing: I ONLY play D&D 4E. No 2, 3, 3.5, or anything else. 4th Edition, or naught.
