What are you looking for?:
I am designing a FUDGE-based Sword & Sorcery game, called "Blood, Sweat & Steel". It was originally a project to port the Conan D20 system to FUDGE. But I had some people interested in it as a standalone game, and I decided I would rather create an original game instead of copying another. It is a very gritty game that has built-in flexibility for player direction, lethal combat, very powerful but unstable magic, and a consistent game mechanic. It's most unique features would be the non-linear wound system, the structured free-form magic system, and the categorized Action Points.
My GM style is highly collaborative, and my #1 goal is providing entertainment for my players by running the kind of game they want to play in. I'm a professional entertainer by trade, and I think that my particular line of work is beneficial to my GM'ing style. I like combat that is fast and full of options, and I like an open world where characters are free to be who they want in that world.
About Me
Biography:
I started playing D&D in 1980. I began GM'ing in 1983. In addition to D&D, I played a lot of Dragonquest in high school. I also played a fair amount of Boot Hill and Star Frontiers. After high school, I've run Shadowrun, and played CoC and Rolemaster. I started running a couple of 35 campaigns in 2001 and after getting a little burnt out on "crunchy" systems, started to look at "indie" games like FATE, SotC, Wushu, and others.
I began to create my own RPG, based on the FUDGE game engine, about 7 months ago. I have about 7 play testers and am close to a v1.0. I have a rules pdf and editable character sheet. I'm currently hoping to start a new tabletop group here in the Reno area. I moved here in May and am looking forward to starting a new gaming group!
