What are you looking for?:
We're looking for a group where we could learn 3.5. We played 2nd edition but had a baby and moved when 3rd edition came out and haven't really played since. We're looking for a good mix of role playing and combat. Groups with women in them would be good - my wife doesn't want to be the only female in the group!
We're open to other systems, but my wife has only played 2nd edition D&D and seems most comfortable in a fantasy environment. We prefer a non-smoking group - if we need to break for 10 minutes so somebody can go outside and burn one, that's fine, but we can't handle it at the table.
We have two kids (almost 5 and almost 1) so groups where some of the folks have kids would be ideal.
Once I come up to speed on 3.5 I might start DM'ing again.
About Me
Biography:
I'm more of a hard-core board wargamer - the paper counter and hex maps type. World in Flames and Federation & Empire were two of my favorite games, but I'll play just about any beer and pretzels game - Axis & Allies, Settlers, and so on. I am 'creeping_phlox' on accessdenied.net.
I've played Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition a fair amount and have a decent sized dwarf army. Never trust an elf!
I've been gaming for over 25 years now. My wife played 2nd edition D&D for 3-4 years and loved it, but having a baby and moving put a stop to our gaming. We're looking to get back into it now.
