Undertakings In between adventures (usually a month) players take on undertakings to establish themselves in the region. These undertakings allow the player to do downtime activities to improve their PC, their wealth or family ties. Players may take only one undertaking between adventures....

Taint and Madness Fighting the forces of darkness not only takes a toll on one’s body but on one’s soul. The great evil that lurks in the world has the capacity of scaring one both spiritually and emotionally. To show this mechanically, taint is the dreaded force that causes the player to fall...

MILESTONES are a mechanic that shows the PCs have reached a significant point in the story that could change the tide. The DM designs, designates and determines where and when the MILESTONE is met. MILESTONES are reached by different criteria determined by the DM. For example, the PC's collecting...

Fighting the Enemy: Part of the fun in the horror based game is trying to understand your enemy. In the course of the adventure, the PC are at a disadvantage when they don't know what they are up against. In this setting, attempting to face the enemy without the right knowledge and materials is...

You know of any games going on in Palo Alto area? (I ask you because you seem to be the only active player that's played much other than just D&D.)

What are you looking for?:
I have a special place in my heart for practically any type of gaming, be it hack and slash, character development, or anything in between. As a player I always try and be the best at whatever my character is. I can play most any type of character, except for a "face man" type of character. I have never been very good at coming up with on the spot dialogue or ideas that gets the party out of tight situations.
About Me
Biography:
I have been playing pen and paper role playing games for the past 12 years. I grew up on a constant diet of Dungeons and Dragons but I'm sticking with the 3.5/Pathfinder rules and not going on to 4th edition. I've played in most of the D&D Campaign settings, and I like them all as long as they are done well.

I have also played in various other role playing games. I love the D20 Modern setting, and believe more people need to play it. I have also dabbled in 7th Sea, and White Wolf's Vampire, Werewolf, and Changeling settings. Also if anyone plays Deadlands I'd love to play too.

If I were to choose between any of the many game systems out there I would have to say that I like the D20 style of game play. I like the D20 System mainly because of it's ease of use and how easily new players can understand the system more than anything else.
