Fighting the forces of darkness not only takes a toll on ones body but on ones soul. The great evil that lurks in the world has the capacity of scaring one both spiritually and emotionally. To show this mechanically, taint is the dreaded force that causes the player to fall into despair and give...

The Main Land (Map Key): This area is claimed by the Lord Spirituals its isolation from the seat of power and the main trade routes make it a more cosmopolitan and tolerate community. However, it location and wealth has made it very susceptible to bandits from the west forcing the Shimmering City...

Vipen-Isle Vipen-Isle is, perhaps, the most dismal part of the Ffenargh. Once it was the site of a small manor and its estates, but the noble family which ruled here has died out and the Lords of Eylea have lost any control over the area. Now, the major power on the island is Vyedma, an annis who...

The Shimmering City of Eylea By the general standards of the Ffenargh, Eylea is a lively, vibrant place, but to any outsider, its grey, damp walls, and lethargic air will be depressing indeed. Much of the atmosphere of Eylea is imparted by its inhabitants, most of whom are servants of one kind or...

Island of Holm The "island" of Holm is connected to the outside world by a causeway (F1) and (with the exception of Eylea) is the part of the Lords' Spiritual domain least affected by the gloom and malaise of the fen. The Ffenargh is a region of chill, gloomy fen. Those few beings who eke out a meagre living here, live in squalid villages on small "islands" of dry land surrounded by marsh. The region is ruled by the Lords Spiritual from their decrepit temple/palace of Eylea To keep order, they have an army...

You know of any games going on in Palo Alto area? (I ask you because you seem to be the only active player that's played much other than just D&D.)

I have a special place in my heart for practically any type of gaming, be it hack and slash, character development, or anything in between. As a player I always try and be the best at whatever my character is. I can play most any type of character, except for a "face man" type of character. I have never been very good at coming up with on the spot dialogue or ideas that gets the party out of tight situations.
About Me
I have been playing pen and paper role playing games for the past 12 years. I grew up on a constant diet of Dungeons and Dragons but I'm sticking with the 3.5/Pathfinder rules and not going on to 4th edition. I've played in most of the D&D Campaign settings, and I like them all as long as they are done well.

I have also played in various other role playing games. I love the D20 Modern setting, and believe more people need to play it. I have also dabbled in 7th Sea, and White Wolf's Vampire, Werewolf, and Changeling settings. Also if anyone plays Deadlands I'd love to play too.

If I were to choose between any of the many game systems out there I would have to say that I like the D20 style of game play. I like the D20 System mainly because of it's ease of use and how easily new players can understand the system more than anything else.
