    Hi. I'm trying to startup a 3.5 edition game in Thousand Oaks or Camarillo. I plan to DM and run a 4 hour game once a week - either Saturdays or Thursday nights.     Hey monk, we have a nice little group of folks centered around Nerdsocal.org. We don't tend to play a lot of D&D these days, though 4th ed. is getting quite the showing. Focus tends to be on small press, indie RPGs like Dogs in the Vineyard, Spirit of the Century, Burning Wheel, etc. Site tends to be slow, but there's good people there and we gather at the local Strategicons, have organized Game Days, and Camping weekends.

What are you looking for?:
I'm looking for a group who enjoy playing and hanging out. I was always been the DM in the games I'd play back home, and enjoy running players through plot lines, but I would also like to try being a PC for a change. Basically I would like to find some folks who just liek to have fun playing. RPGs are fun to play, but it's the people you play with that really make it enjoyable.

In highschool my group of friends played all kinds of stuff, Werewolf, GURPS, RIFTS, D&D, Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, and a few misc. others. Since graduating college my rpg addiction has been fulfilled by playing WoW online, but I want to get back into D&D. Basically, I have tons of books, but haven't found a group down here in SoCal to play with.
