What are you looking for?

Currently, I am not in any games, and haven't been for several months. My friend and I are bouncing around ideas for a game, but I'd also like to join something nearby. I'm willing to join D&D games (even 4th ed.! *gasps*), as I've enjoyed them in the past, but would especially love to play something that I've never tried before.

I like games that give me a chance to express my character, and interact with the characters of the world, and the group. I also like games with an interesting story, and a sense of consequences for the player's actions (Not all of this has to be bad, mind. If we defeat evil lich Ekse, then I'd like the Eksian lichedom to no longer be as threatening.) I can understand the appeal of the random dungeon crawl, or the random super-powered brawl week after week, but it isn't for me.

So in conclusion, roleplaying, action, story, and fun characters and players are what I'm looking for. Genre matters far less than any of that. Send me a message if you've got similar or compatible interests, and are looking for a player or gm.

Biography

I got into roleplaying with D&D 3rd edition, and while I had fun, I disliked several elements of the game. A few years later, a friend of mine invited me to a Changeling: the Dreaming game which I played for well over a year. That game also introduced me to WoD in general, and from there I played in a short-lived but enjoyable nWoD mortals game.

Since then, I've run various WoD games, Exalted 2nd edition, a Wild Talents superhero game set during the Cold War, a M:tA LARP, and various other one shots and short-lived experiments (mostly nWoD, but I've ran some FATE).

For the most part, I've been the one running games, but I would love to play in a game, and experience things from the other side of the table. I'm open to playing just about anything, except for GURPS or the Hero system,and would describe myself as a creative, motivated role player who doesn't mind some orc murderin' either.
