What are you looking for?

Primarily a D&D 3.X player. I enjoy a lot of Eberron, but I'm willing to play in any setting provided it is fleshed out. I have not tried nor bought the new edition, but I am not catagorically opposed to it. Have not tried Savage Worlds either, but it looks like a boat load of fun. It seems to address the problems I had with running D&D 3.X. I played Hero System back in the 80's, and would be willing to play with a patient group. The rule set looks like my biology book from High School. I like a game that has players and DM who are committed to the idea that everyone should have a good time. The best fun happens when the members of the group trust each other and don't have to worry about issues surrounding fairness, rules and etiquitte. Good roleplay will beat out good combat most all of the time for me, but I enjoy kicking in a few doors and pounding things too. I tend to play skill based characters (rogue/ranger), and faith-based characters (druid, cleric, paladin) but willing to try anything once. I do have a job that can have me away from home for several weeks at a time, so scheduling may be tricky. Also, a more episodic type of campaign may be more suited to me.
