I'm looking for a fun game, with a bit of humor, good action, maybe a bit of mystery. I like interacting with interesting NPCs and meaningful roleplaying, but also high fantasy action and combat. I would prefer to play in a game where the DM is responsive to the players interests and that isn't too focused on rules and one where I'm allowed to have some minor influence on the story and be creative. I'm interested in a game that is either equal parts roleplaying and combat or slightly heavier on the roleplaying side.
I've been role-playing since I was 10. I've played mostly D&D and WoD games, though I'm no longer interested in such dark games as the World of Darkness has to offer. I've run Dark Sun and generic D&D games several times and Vampire the Masqurade as well. I've played in a couple of Forgotten Realms campaigns, Planescape, Darksun, Vampire the Masqurade and Darkages, Scarred Lands, and numerous generic games, as well as Warhammer FRPG, and Abberant. I haven't been in a gaming group since I moved to Madison 4 months ago, but would like to find one again now that I've gotten settled. I used to play once or twice a week. Most of my experience is in D&D is with 3.0/5, but I wouldn't be opposed to learning the new fourth edition either. I'm also passingly familiar with a number of other roleplaying systems such as Tribe 8 and Fading Suns. And could quickly learn any other system I found interesting.
