What are you looking for?:
I signed up here a long time ago, looking for a group to play in. For the next few semesters in school I won't be able to be in a group because of a heavy schedule load, but I'm keeping my options open after that.
For now, I'm hoping to meet fellow gamers in the area because all my old gamer friends have given up the habit or moved away! :P It would be nice to have people to talk to who are interested in more than the latest episode of daytime talk shows.
I'm a girl gamer who doesn't really have a 'usual' character type... I tend to like to mix things up quite a bit. My last three characters were a rude, disloyal rogue (D&D), a naive god thing that was easily manipulated into doing others' bidding (HERO homebrew fantasy), and a tough-as-nails soldier who always put duty first (HERO homebrew fantasy). I like to think each of my characters is a unique being with their own fleshed-out personality.
I've mostly played V:tM, D&D 3.5, and the HERO system (though it wasn't a superheroes game, it was a homebrew fantasy campaign.) I've also played a little Shadowrun, but the number crunching was frustrating.
I used to prefer 100% roleplaying with combat every wild blue moon, but I have learned to enjoy hacking and slashing as well. :) If you play with a mature group and a good GM, I think you learn that almost anything can be fun.
