What are you looking for?:

I'm interested in starting a ground up 4th Edition game, set in the new 4E Forgotten Realms. I'd like to DM that, but I'm also interested in playing 4E if there are any new campaigns starting up in the area. I like storytelling and role playing, but also like the fighty-fight and miniatures aspect of the new rules. I haven't played in many years, but picked up the new rules on a lark and have played in a couple of demos and at meetups and so on. I really like the new system.

Biography:

I'm a professional sf/fantasy author (I've been a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, and World Fantasy Awards). I'm in my late thirties, and I like cracking wise as much as the next guy but I'm mainly interested in semi-serious games. Diversity among the players (women and men, experienced and new, etc) is a huge plus. I prefer smallish groups of no more than five players (plus one gamemaster). I'm available most afternoons, but not Saturdays, and want to play about twice a month.
