What are you looking for?

I'm looking a game with some story, multiple paths are good great. There also has to be some good battles !! If it's D&D, hopefully something like the books by Robert Jordan and Raymond E Feist. I'm not too experienced at roleplaying games, so I'm lookin for a newb friendly game.
