DMMike replied to a thread Looking for a 4e group in 4th Edition
Little bit of a thread necro here, fellas. But since you're interested in an online play-by-chat, let me know if I can run a game for you. I don't do 4th ed, but I have something that's just as easy, and cheaper.

I want to produce a (medieval) fantasy module, or bonus content drop, for Modos RPG to give new players something meatier to bite into. And I want some ideas! Please tell me: What are your three favorite ideas found in fantasy literature? What are the coolest fantasy game rules you've...

Rather than continuing to post piles of detail here (and anywhere else I'm recruiting), I'm trying to take advantage of Obsidian Portal's campaign management tools. You can find information here: https://a-simple-venture.obsidianportal.com/

This game will now be an online game - as it pleases the players. Venue is right here in the P&PG chatroom. I modified the combat/roleplaying ratio. Note that for this game, "roleplaying" includes exploration, problem-solving, and social encounters. Finally, the easier to access, but less...

Keeping the event as a "convention" will indeed take some work. However, minimal work will be needed to simply run a Chatroom Gameday. For my part, I'm ready to run another game, and manage my game's player registration as well. The Find or Advertise forum is actually a great place for this.

It's probably not, actually. I just saw something saying that the campaign (adventure?) only takes PCs up to level 8 or 15. Not quite Tiamat-level, huh?

Unfortunately, D&D is the main-stream game of choice, even when there are other systems out there that GMs prefer to use. There are enough D&D enthusiasts, that people can find a game with that system, even when you don't prefer it. Not trying to get into an edition war here, but another thought as...

A quick spin around the interwebs reveals to me that most gamers in my area are looking to play 5th edition D&D. Which is not my game of choice. So I have to wonder: should I be looking outside my area? Who has had better luck finding an online game than an in-person game? Or a better...

Now you're talking. Even bad ideas can become good ones. If the PCs are starting at low level, the first NPC you'll need is their trainer: the aging fighter/champion who has retired from adventuring, but is happy to share his knowledge about kicking butt with the PCs. They'll need his advice...

Your site looks amazing sweetheart! I just want to tell all those out there that haven't had the honor of meeting you yet that Briarthorn was new to Dungeons and Dragons but has quickly grown to be one of the best players I've had around the table. Not just saying this because she's my fiancee' as every week she's saved my ass and helped her group out of tight jams. I'm very proud of you and I have a blast gaming with you.

What are you looking for?:
I'm not currently looking for a group, as I found a great bunch of players through pen and paper. However, what I look for in a group are people who are laid back and just have fun with the game, some kind of role playing, and a DM who isn't so hard core and lets his/her players progress through their story instead of forcing them along it.
About Me
Biography:
I am currently playing in a D&D and Star wars Campaign that is on a rotating schedule. I use paper and pen to keep in touch with group members and as a way to find other players who might be a good match for our group.
