Thanks a lot, Morashitar! Although you're putting the cart before the horse: I didn't turn Skyrim into a tabletop game. Skyrim turned my game into something really fun! Of course, Skyrim had help from Final Fantasy and D&D too. If you're interested, I'll release the adventure module I'm using...

Welcome to the forums fellow Floridian. When I lived down in Miami, I knew some guys who gamed, but I've been gone from there for over 20 years, so I really don't know any who play down there anymore. My advice to you is try the few gaming stores down there, you might be able to find a group that...

I'll be using Excel for my GM screen. Putting it together from scratch - small project there. It serves several purposes: - Tracking PC and NPC stats and damage - Recording combat initiative - Tracking use of actions (three per round) - Tracking combat positions (front or back row) I'm...

    7) Introducing some superpower, like magic or insane tech, without fully accounting for how it would change society. This one is the most abused by Hollywood. Namely, I'm thinking of vampires and werewolves co-existing in the normal world. If I see another vampire in high school...

Final Fantasy d6! http://www.mediafire.com/download/yibrve1l1x65e3i/FFd6_v1.3.pdf Because I love Final Fantasy (well, the first few of them) but I hate learning new rules! And I'm pretty sure that FFd6 uses rows for combat, so there wouldn't be any map-grids necessary. Which is good for the...

These pregens listed will be used in the Con. There's more info on the way for Danica, Farengar, Aia and Mercer. And I'm considering adding some bonus features for Farkas and Aela as well. Farkas's modified Physical is 13, reduced by his heavy armor from 16. This also reduces his physical max...

Are the Pre-gen characters above the ones being used in the Con? For Farkas' abilities Physical is 13. Is that his damage pool?

We could have monthly contests even. Starting the 1st and ending the last day of the month. Then the first week of the next month is used to judge that contest. And on the 1st of the second month starts the new contest!

Well, if P&PG runs a "rules-light" or "rules-heavy" game contest, we might make some strides toward making their definitions concrete. I really see one of P&PG's strengths as the chatroom. So we should probably be running the "Chat-friendly Adventure" contest.

As far as something similar we could always change the length requirement. Like a 5 page RPG. Would still be a challenge but give more room for stuff. Add different requirements. The 2 page contest had 2 rules. Be playable to someone unfamiliar with it and have a setting. Maybe have different...

I also entered the same contest after Soft Serve told me about it on the final day. And with my natural skill in procrastination I waited until 45 minutes before the deadline to start. Granted I didn't have a few notes. I sadly didn't get to finish like I would have liked to and left out key...

Some players will ignore these just as easily as they'll ignore the danger of an iron golem. My current wisdom is to have a backup plan. Go ahead and TPK - if the player's can't recognize an overwhelming challenge, they deserve it - but then either allow the players to "restore last...

An...afterthought? What's the Mission of P&PG? How does it differ from the missions of other gaming forum/websites? "Virtual tabletop" is pretty well cornered by Roll20. "D&D forum" is pretty well cornered by ENworld (or every other RPG site?) "(insert P&PG niche here)" is pretty well...

Well, there's already a respectable One Page Dungeon contest, and it seems Soft Serve has found a good 2 Page RPG contest (judging by the response quality of the judges). So what does that leave us? And what systems does P&PG have in place that relate to contests? Polls, obviously. Can the...

Bravo for taking on the challenge of writing an uber-short RPG! It sounds easy, doesn't it? Yeah, I dread the idea. The uber-short game I'm trying to write is probably getting closer to 100 pages than 50. :(

"Countdown" from What's O.L.D. is N.E.W.: Want something to end in a certain number of rounds, without anyone knowing what the actual time limit will be? Grab a pool of dice - I think the default is 6d6 - and whenever you roll a 6, that die gets removed from the pool. Each roll is another...

    - Assumed gear: I like it. Let's keep character sheets lighter, shall we? This goes well with the Err on the Player Side rule. For example, the Rebel squad just successfully assaulted and took control of a star destroyer bridge. But before leaving, no one said "I grab the dead captain's...

What are you looking for?:
I'm not currently looking for a group, as I found a great bunch of players through pen and paper. However, what I look for in a group are people who are laid back and just have fun with the game, some kind of role playing, and a DM who isn't so hard core and lets his/her players progress through their story instead of forcing them along it.
About Me
Biography:
I am currently playing in a D&D and Star wars Campaign that is on a rotating schedule. I use paper and pen to keep in touch with group members and as a way to find other players who might be a good match for our group.
