Well, I'm slightly confused about your question, since I thought I had answered it. Perhaps my confusion is shared by others, and this is preventing them from responding? Here, here. RPGs shouldn't be limiting; they should be enabling. To be fair to my former favorite system, 3e D&D had...

Lightweight? I like medium weight myself. I'm enough of a war gamer to like a bit of crunch in my game. True 20 is way to light for my taste. On the other hand a simulationist combat system takes way too muich time and effort. What do I like? Yes systems. A system that doen't default to...

You are now talking system. Most game systems avoid one hit one kill because it goes through PCs too fast. It lacks that Heroic feel. Personally I would keep the damage similar. For myself I generally give bullet 2dX. From Colt .25 autos at 2d4 to the .45 ACP at 2d10. Pistols are graded...

I use it for all eras. And no not usually weapons. You are expected to have gotten weapons. It is for the flashlight, torches, tent spikes, food, coil of rope, and the other things people usually forget to list. Now you can have an assault rifle and a pack of ammo, but don't ask for a wound...

That's about the conclusion to which I was arriving. The next issue, which seems to be just one of definitions, is: why does a "hit" by a battle axe not kill someone? Why not the .308? My answer is that a hit isn't a hit. It's just damage, or as I'll be writing up soon in my sharebrewed game,...

I was traveling recently, and asked myself, "how can I roll dice when I have no dice or no place to roll them?" Case in point: being in a car makes for a horrible gaming table, but a captive audience. Wanting to go one step further than paper-rock-scissors, I came up with this: 1. GM and...

Tesral: I'm guessing the 25 pound rule is a medieval-genre rule? Because in a modern game I'd spend 8 pounds on an assault rifle, and the rest on ammo! (Probably doesn't apply to weapons, huh?) Snuffy: does that mean you can't get a head shot without trying to get one? Interesting rule. It...

Are you looking for players? I'm looking for a weekly gaming group. I mostly play D&D but would love to try Starwars. I'm live in San Bernardino.

What are you looking for?:
I'm not currently looking for a group, as I found a great bunch of players through pen and paper. However, what I look for in a group are people who are laid back and just have fun with the game, some kind of role playing, and a DM who isn't so hard core and lets his/her players progress through their story instead of forcing them along it.
About Me
Biography:
I am currently playing in a D&D and Star wars Campaign that is on a rotating schedule. I use paper and pen to keep in touch with group members and as a way to find other players who might be a good match for our group.
