I prefer mentally challenging games, with a creative DM. When I used to run games I put a lot of energy and thought into my campaigns. Now, I don't have the time for that but still want to play. I don't mind a lot of combat, but I like it when rewards are given for being able to get around a situation without drawing blood (though that's not to say that I don't enjoy killing when it counts).
I get very into my character's history and personality, but won't roleplay excessively if the group consensus is to be more laid back.
I've played a LOT of D&D (3e and 3.5), and a fair amount of Whitewolf (both LARP and tabletop) primarily in Vampire settings, but some mage.
I'm very familiar with Forgotten Realms.
As of this writing I haven't been in a game for several months.
I just graduated from Cal State Northridge as a Dance & Creative Arts Management major, which means I'm equal parts performer and businessman.
