I think that if we get antsy about sharing what we write before NBT has a new home then we can post it in a new in-character thread, and that we can just move it over when it's time to move.

So we could write a short "scene" that our character is involved in, that gives some flavor to our character, and hints about their nature?

Or at least just enough to plant the seeds of good storytelling. There's no point to a character's secret if it's never used to create dramatic effect within the story (I'm looking at you, Albus!)

As intriguing as the characters are so far, I'd also like to get physical descriptions of them so I could put together some artwork. I.J., is it okay if we share some pre-adventure prologues to cover some exposition?

My character's name is Ka'tra b'Aaray. She is a relatively young female, about 23-24 years of age. She doesn't really have an established history anywhere in the galaxy. No long-term residence, no known accounts, and no known property ownership. She is a freelancer, traveliing from one job to...

rpol.net looks good. The features seem ideally suited for gaming, and the scarcity of graphics will just be incentive to add our own! :) My vote is for present tense this time around. With Tapestry it made perfect sense to write everything in past tense. It had a more literary style in the...

Well there's a reason most tabletops are in the first person. We will be directly controlling our characters, and waiting for everybody to make their move in turn so it makes sense. And the new site sounds nifty, even if I am a little loathe to abandon Tapestry's final resting place.

I have a brief prologue piece for Dame Acklay that I'd like to type up, but I'm just trying to strike a balance with it so it doesn't reveal too much too early. I think part of the fun with this group will be having a bit of mystery among our characters that's revealed as obligations and plot...

I want to see a good star wars movie again. They could call it "We promise no mididcholrians and Jar Jar" and I would take that as a step in a positive direction. As for how we all get into place, I'd like to hear DC's idea's about the character dynamic, and for IJ to set the premise, but I...

I'm only interested in the title because I'm curious to see how the story fits that description. As as for our EotE game, I'm thinking about how it will start out. One idea I had would be that IJ would describe where we all meet, like the place, timeframe, etc., then we all write a little intro...

I've heard all sorts of commentary on it, from disappointment that it doesn't match some fanboy expectation or that "VII" isn't promently displayed in a logo, to gushing that it's amazing and reveals so much about what we've got ahead of us, all with a great range of jokes in between. It seems to...

I say we play it in the Episode VII era. That way whatever predictions or speculations we make about the timeline can be dashed against the rocks of the movie! No? Oh, okay. The time between 4 and 5 sounds great.

I've enjoyed Rebels. I can see where some people are coming from saying it's pretty juvenile, but that doesn't mean I necessarily agree. Some of the best stuff I've seen in recent years has been "for kids". For me, the show's tapping into some deep childhood nostalgia stuff, occasionally even...

Whatever you do, don't tell everyone you've got a character and then wait for a month before revealing it. I hate when people do that.

I forgot to mention--letting go does indeed feel strange. I would also love to read anything that is written about these characters beyond where Tapestry ends. We may be done writing Tapestry, but the characters are not done living their lives.

Thanks, Ice. I didn't really get to fully tell Mith's story, but that's okay. When IJ convinced me to get involved, the story that is Tapestry was pretty well along. I incorporated a previous tale that I had never really written, and chose Mith to be my main character. I knew I wouldn't have time...

Much had happened since they had lifted off from Dantooine. Mith and his men had mostly stayed out of the way, but had helped out when they were asked. They knew that the individuals on board this ship shared some sort of history, and that there were a lot of feelings and emotions that were being...
