What are you looking for?:
I enjoy the role-playing aspect of gaming, rather than a particular genre. A good story, dynamic characters, mature players. To simply toss in the phrase "mature players" may see trite and over-used. However, what I mean is that I desire to game with individuals who are where they say they'll be, who arrive on-time, who aim to have a positive gaming experience.. ad nauseam. Which isn't to say that I don't want to have some fun!
Of particular interest to me is the nWoD. I loved old World of Darkness games, and am looking forward to playing nWoD. I've played various incarnations of D&D, d20 modern, d20 Star Wars, various White Wolf systems (Werewolf and Exalted being my favorites), and a smattering of other things I've forgotten about.
My availability is generally in-limbo, between my various commitments. I can set aside time for roleplaying, I just need a bit of forewarning. I'm available to play, but I can't simply 'drop everything' at a moments notice. As much as I'd love to at this very moment.
I've not played frequently in the past years - college kept me busy. And then life after college. Pah! In the past I've played (old) World of Darkness, Exalted, some d20 Modern, a smidge of DnD 3.5, Deadlands, CyberGen, and experimented with other systems briefly. Werewolf: The Apocalypse (and now W:TF) and Exalted have always keenly caught my imagination, and they easily rank as my favorites. The Deadlands setting is also mighty awesome, I'll have you know. That being said, I'm more concerned with finding a positive culture and attitudes within a group than I am concerned with participating in a particular system.
My dice are dusty. Halp! :)
