I'm starting a new gaming group in the Lake Mary area and saw that you played many of the same games I did in the 90's. If you are still looking for a group, please feel free to drop me a line.

Hello, I am the creator of Chaos 6010 A.D. a dark sci-fi RPG. I will begin a new campaign at Sci-Fi City in Orlando, Saturday July 11th at 2pm. I also run the game evenings on a VTT (virtual tabletop program) on a weekly basis. On the site there are free downloads of character packets, premades, and free chapters of the rulebook for designing a character from scratch. Let me know if you are interested on my site or here. We are always looking for new players, hope to talk to you soon. http://chaos6010.com/

What are you looking for?:
When I am a player, I look for GMs that run a good mix of combat, roleplaying, interesting characters/villains, and story. In other words, I dislike games that are almost exclusively hack and slash or are almost exclusively without combat.

I also prefer games in which the GM uses visuals and miniatures, not only because such aids prevent player conflicts, but because they increase immersion and make combat more tactically interesting.

Furthermore, I absolutely can not stand a GM that "spotlights" adventures around 1 or 2 characters for entire sessions at a time, ignoring the rest of the party. A good GM is able to involve the entire party and designs adventures such that everyone is able to participate regularly.

Lastly, I play traditional roleplaying games. I am not interested in the storygames that are so predominant in the indie gaming community. I am interested in playing in sci-fi,fantasy, cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, superhero, or vampire settings.
About Me
I started with the Basic D&D/Rules Cyclopedia, d6 Star Wars, and Planescape back in the early 90's. I've played/GMed in every iteration of D&D (except for 1e) and, in recent years, have played 7th Sea, L5R, 4e, Call of Cthulhu and many other games.
I have also dabbled into the world of Virtual Tabletop Games, and have become something of an OpenRPG wizard.

I am a big fan of skill-based systems, particularly ones with a skill+stat roll over TN mechanic like FUZION (my favorite), Interlock, and Unisystem.

My campaigns are a good mix of roleplaying and combat. I also employ minis, maps, battle grids, and other visuals. Setting immersion is a big deal in my games, thus, there will be sufficient detail given to the world and player actions will often have realistic consequences.

Although I have played indie "storygames" before (i.e Houses of the Blooded, Dogs in the Vineyard and the like), I only run traditional RPGs not storygames.

I have a slight preference for GMing, but I am cool with playing too. Ideally, I'd like to play once a week on weekends for 3-4+ hours each session. Mornings/Afternoons would be preferable.
