Yes, thanks for doing that. Unfortunately, I probably won't get as much use out of it as I do the Pathfinder one, don't have anyone in my group that wants to play it. But I am working on a one-shot scenario that I'm going to rope the other members of my group into one of these days!

Another way to do this is almost a Matrix meets Shadow World meets Call of Cthulu scenario. Joe and Jane average _KNOW_ that magic and monsters and stuff is bullcrap, impossible, AND just the stuff of stories. Those few (Neo and crew) that have been unplugged start out with the knowledge that...

I make my players roll LOTS of perception checks... just to keep them on their toes. If you don't, and then, from out of the blue, ask them to roll a check, they suddenly get mega-curious and it ruins any idea of surprise. By making them roll 40-50 a session, they then stay curious... or not... but...

The websites are great, but my favorite reference is always the local gaming stores. Just ask the geek at the front counter about local groups that play and if there is a gaming bulletin board where the groups advertise for openings in their groups. MANY stores allow gaming IN the store - and...

I've run both - and can say from personal experience that "fate" is nothing more than railroading on a grand scale. I run a sand-box style campaign, and that means that while I may present wonderful adventure hooks, it's up to the characters to make their own decisions and "choose their own...

I'm pretty sure I won't be running any 5e games. Will I play it, if someone in our group buys the books, but I'm not really that interested in investing in the system at the moment. I've switched back to BRP, something that I ran many years ago when it was Runequest and I really liked it. But I...

I find the second sentence hard to believe. The DAY BEFORE 4E was dropped, Wizards issued yet ANOTHER press release and spammed their forum boards with, "There is no new edition in any stage of development. Stop asking." Then, the next day, they had the unveiling of 4E. They ticked me off -...

Hey Skunk, those buildings you are asking about are Warhammer buildings. They have about twenty of them. They Look pretty good and go together very fast. They are not very stable though Nothing like the World Works stuff. But they are all free. The basing you asked about are the same as the walls. One thickness of whatever. I use cardstock. Is ok but should be something like foam board or something. It is printed with the rest of the walls and roofs.

Hey, Skunk. Saw your stuff on World Works Games. In the forum. Yeah, that stuff is pretty cool. Just built the Watchtower. Earlier this year I got the Pub and Tavern and the Castle interior stuff. I like it. Haven't figured out what the chipboard actually is, but I don't think it is the same as hardboard.
  4. I've bought some new stuff from World Works, but no I haven't been building anything lately either. I did pick up some of the FoamWerks stuff, foamboard cutting tools and I really like the stuff. Best piece that I've seen so far is the http://www.foamwerks.com/tools/rabbet/ (Rabbet Cutter).

It's really great for squaring the walls/floors on buildings! Also, I was looking at some work that one of the people over on the World Works forums was doing with chipboard/mattboard. It's thinner than foamcore, but stronger and I was considering setting up a modular dungeon with it. Here's the thread...

Looks like it will work out, but I want to buy some and figure out how to make a template/jig to cut out the baseboard and walls. That way I can mass produce the pieces and not have to worry about cutting the parts wrong!

Hey, you been building any terrain lately? I built a couple of fold up buildings last month and bought some PDF's on line. But I been busy with all this mother-in-law stuff I have shut down every other part of my life. Will be a few more weeks before I get things back to normal. And a few more before I get back to building terrain.

Hey, if you would like, I would be more than happy to cut a sheet of the blue or pink stuff up to fit in a box and ship it to you. Don't know what the shipping costs would be but I have the price at Lowes and Home Depot in my note book. Stuff runs from about $9 to about $16 a sheet. Would be happy to split the cost and ship you some.

About Me
Biography:
Until around 1990, I had played just about every game on the market, but after getting married, I didn't spend quite as much time. See my favorites for the ones I normally play. Mostly I like to play fantasy and sci-fi, but a good superhero game is fun as well. Will play mini games sometimes and have a Warhammer 40k Necro army at present, that I'm still painting. Also play City of Heroes/Villains and D&D Online.
