What are you looking for?:

I have more than 20 years experience as a full-time DM with the AD&D game systems - most of that in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and mostly with AD&D 2E.

As a DM I like giving the characters a story. The depth of the story is usually 90% dependent on the make-up of the party. If the party is attentive and follows my input, clues, and detail, they usually succeed in the proposed scenario. On the other hand, if I end up with mostly hack'n'slashers, it goes down the tube pretty quick.

I tend not to push the envelope when it comes to encounters. Even in the 'dreaded' UnderMountain, I usually found myself pulling punches more often than not. I tend to start off light with the encounters and then I attempt to build up to something a bit more challenging. This may sometimes leave the PCs feeling a little cheated.
But I try not to beat them to death over and over just to pick them up and dust them off, sending them back into the meat grinder to start the process all over again.

I like having a group of players who are 'roleplaying explorers'; who know how to give their characters some 'character'. And this is the type of player I am as well.

About Me

Biography:

AD&D 2E is my preferred ruleset. It's where I have the most experience. I started playing AD&D in 1983 and played through 2003 with all three editions. By the time the 3.5 rules were released, I had about given up on finding a group of like-minded individuals. So I have rarely played over the past 4 years.

But I am ready for a comeback. I am available most Saturdays during the day, or perhaps on a Friday later in the evening through about midnight. I would like to find some players in the Paulding, Douglas, Carroll, or Cobb county areas. I can game once per month, perhaps twice per month if scheduling works out with everyone involved.
