What are you looking for?: -As a Player-
When playing a game, I like to be constantly engaged. I like intense action that forces me to think about my actions turn by turn. I like deep, engrossing mysteries that I have to put together. I also enjoy a fair amount of sillyness. Can't be intense all the time.

-As a GM-
As a gm I put alot of work into planning my games. From the strategy of the monsters, to the custom made random encounter tables for each environment, to how many cheese shops there are in town. (I wish I was kidding.) Canidates for my games have to atleast try to put some work into there characters/role playing. I'm not asking you to never say the words "+2 Battle axe". Infact, I kinda encourage that (it's allot simpler than saying "this sword will increase your accuracy by 10%"). But I digress. I just want your characters to feel as if they are something unto them selfs. I'm not looking to play with someone who justifies his/her actions with "becuase I'm a fighter, thats what I do". I would prefer to hear "I think this is what (characters name) would want to do, she/he is very head strong and curious."

Also, I will politely ask you to refrain from using a character that has become much stronger than the rest of the group. It's no fun for anyone if you can kill 2 fully HD advanced Minotuars with BBN levels in one turn, even (and especially) if you promise to leave one of them alive for the rest of the group to deal with....

Biography: I played for a long time with a group of power gamers (who didn't even know they were power gamers). It caused me to forget who I am and what I like about these games. All my characters became Evil sociopaths, as a matter of survival. I've moved on from that group and re-centered myself. I'm looking to start a group of people who are not interested in Leveling, slaughtering, or even critically Hitting -- but rather, just playing.
