What are you looking for?:

I am looking for ROLEplayers (ie: Art whores), not ROLLplayers (ie: Munchkins) and DMs to play in a long term campaign in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. The reason I need both DMs and players is because I want to have a rotating DM system, where all players including the DM have a character in the group. The DMs character is an NPC earning half XP. Once the DM tires of running the campaign, one of the players takes over. The players PC becomes an NPC earning half XP and the DMs NPC becomes a PC earning full XP. We all maintain the same characters and stay in the same campaign setting and continue using the same version of the rules. This helps prevent DM burnout as well as giving everyone a chance on both sides of the DM screen.
I will start as DM. I will be using 2nd Edition rules with most of the optional rules from the books Skills & Powers, Combat & Tactics, and Spells & Magic (or Version 2.5). That means we'll be using Character Points (ChP) for proficiencies, Magic Points (MP) for spells, and the new critical hit/effects rules. We will not, however, be customizing class or racial abilities for extra ChP during character creation (but I will be more leniant with how many minor hindrances you can take during creation for extra ChP).
Characters will start play at 3rd level for single classed priests, rogues, and warriors. Single classed wizards will start play at 4th level. Multiclassed demihumans will start play at 2nd level in each respective class. Th

Biography:

My name's Tony and I'm 33 years old. I've been playing RPGs since I was 14. I've played numerous other games, including Warhammer, Ninja Turtles, Heroes Unlimited, Ninjas & Superspies, etc, etc, etc. But with all the games out there I like D&D the best. I still play Version 2.5 because I'm not as infatuated with the new d20 rules as everyone else. Some stuff I like, others I think should have been left alone. Anyway, I've taken a bunch of time off from gaming for various reasons. I miss it and I want to get back into it, but I don't want to be stuck behind the DM screen for five straight years like I was last time (hense the rotating DM system mentioned above).
