I feel that this worked out well enough and was enjoyable. Only thing was I think all of us players combined wrote only a fraction of how much you composed for this JP : P Also weekend after this one should be good for me for real time pen and paper if it does occur.
From his vantage point Felix watches the noose of cultists closing around Bayaza and his remaining guard and while Bayaza does not appear unskilled in combat one would hardly bet on him to emulate the mighty cleave of Dorian and his flambard. A shot to one of their heads should break the noose and...
Felix looks out from the guest house to find this situation that seems to be skipping any build up and immediately breaking into battle. He hurriedly loads Brandetag and aims it out the window, not yet decided on who first its shot needs to fell.
Felix looked around at Sorcha work on her poison or sleeping agent or whatever exactly she wished to taint the water with, at Mort running to inform the local rulers of the misdoings of the cult and Gabriel off to divine the location of something. Looking down at the scribe passed out on the...
As Mort enthusiastically, yet stealthily lead the way to battle, Felix hesitated but for a moment before moving up to provide support. Edging around corners with Brandetag readied, his plan was to get the first of them in his sights before they suspected the invasion. He wanted to be ready to...
As he saw Kichila taking form from the blue light, Felix took a step back and fumbled to get the deadly side of Brandetag pointed at its head. Once he realized this aspect of the ghost wasn't intent on devouring him the gun lowered as he gave a sigh of relief. Mortdechai's first instinct was...

So far I've mostly just played some D&D and I've enjoyed that but am definitely willing to try a wide variety of games. I do like combat, thinking about tactics to try as well as how I want to develop my characters abilities in order to contribute to the parties ability to defend itself. I don't need it to be all combat all the time or even leaning towards combat but I'm probably going to want there to be some (like >=25%?). I can be serious or silly, either is fun.
Again I really only have experience with D&D as far as pen and paper goes. Actually I don't have all that many hours under my belt with that game either (yet). I like boardgames, including classic strategy games like Go. Another game I used to enjoy is magic the gathering. And then there's a wide variety of computer games. One of my hobbies is programming computer games (or at least parts of games that get put aside before they're done to start the next project). Yeah I like games of all kinds : P Outside of games I have a degree in Math and am studying more math on my own right now while I decide what I want to do with my life.
