Yes, anywhere here, even this thread, would be just fine for now. When we get to rpol.net, every character gets their own bio page (separate from the Character Sheet, if I recall correctly). That's the perfect place to put background stories and character portraits.

I think that if we get antsy about sharing what we write before NBT has a new home then we can post it in a new in-character thread, and that we can just move it over when it's time to move.

Not a requirement of course, but there's nothing wrong with maximum input... makes for a more vivid picture! :)

Yes... if, when we watch the first film, we're Luke, then we wouldn't be privy to the Greedo scene. But it sets up a lot about Han, and subsequently a third of the third film. So feel free to include anything you guys are comfortable with, for drama's sake! :)

Or at least just enough to plant the seeds of good storytelling. There's no point to a character's secret if it's never used to create dramatic effect within the story (I'm looking at you, Albus!)

I'm a hunka-hunka burnin' love. Can you put me in a silver-sequined jacket? Totally, DC! Whatever you guys would like to share. I can only assume if you guys have some deep dark secrets, you'll leave those out.

As intriguing as the characters are so far, I'd also like to get physical descriptions of them so I could put together some artwork. I.J., is it okay if we share some pre-adventure prologues to cover some exposition?

Without giving anything away, I do need you guys to all be together right from the get-go... there won't be any "you're in a tavern" scene. Hopefully that won't matter, 'cause there'll be ample opportunity to describe why you had joined up with the others in dialogue or flashback - even if it's the...

rpol.net looks good. The features seem ideally suited for gaming, and the scarcity of graphics will just be incentive to add our own! :) My vote is for present tense this time around. With Tapestry it made perfect sense to write everything in past tense. It had a more literary style in the...

I'm not going to reveal the premise ahead of time - all we need is the basics of why you guys are all working on the same ship. I'm afraid we will have to move, though; we need a dice roller, at least. So far, I'm pretty keen on rpol.net (it's where I was playing in that other EotE game). It's...

I have a brief prologue piece for Dame Acklay that I'd like to type up, but I'm just trying to strike a balance with it so it doesn't reveal too much too early. I think part of the fun with this group will be having a bit of mystery among our characters that's revealed as obligations and plot...

I've heard all sorts of commentary on it, from disappointment that it doesn't match some fanboy expectation or that "VII" isn't promently displayed in a logo, to gushing that it's amazing and reveals so much about what we've got ahead of us, all with a great range of jokes in between. It seems to...

I say we play it in the Episode VII era. That way whatever predictions or speculations we make about the timeline can be dashed against the rocks of the movie! No? Oh, okay. The time between 4 and 5 sounds great.

I've enjoyed Rebels. I can see where some people are coming from saying it's pretty juvenile, but that doesn't mean I necessarily agree. Some of the best stuff I've seen in recent years has been "for kids". For me, the show's tapping into some deep childhood nostalgia stuff, occasionally even...

Rebels is certainly enjoyable. It's the kind of show where you make some popcorn and have a good time. I love Clone Wars too, but it occasionally took itself too seriously (as mandated by the source material). Rebels is pure fun, so far.

It's all in the timing! DogSolitude was asking me when in the timeline our adventure (campaign?) will take place. I was thinking between IV and V (when EotE is 'officially' set), but I'm open to suggestions. I'm basically good with anything in the Rebellion era, since going Old Republic or New...

Thank you Dawncaller! For my part, I was shooting for three things: Create a wordless 'musical tableau' ending, as in the films Weave our exploits into the official continuity ('Echo' base much? ;)) Get some closure for the one little character I think we all forgot, and tie that into a...

It was quiet on the Whydah's bridge, the transparisteel cockpit largely opaqued to keep out most of the whirling tunnel of hyperspace. They sat together, each thinking thoughts of their own, not wanting to speak but desperately wanting to be close to one another. Luis Santiago, at the sensor...
