As a player- Something story driven that isnt totally devoid of combat. Conflict drives story after all right? I prefer to fill holes in a party, so I'm usually the first to pick up a healing class. I prefer easy going groups, thats a definate must. I'm serious about playing though, and absorb the atmosphere created quite well.
As a DM- I allow a wide range of creativity in players, and foster good backstory and in game inginuity. My games are typically on the over powered side, as it tends to give players, and myself, more options. Rules are generally relaxed or simplified if there is ever a question.
