About Me
Biography:
I'm in my early thirties and just recently got back into gaming after a decade hiatus. I have spent the last few years playing in and now running PbP games on a few of the more trafficked sites. While PbP games have been great and have really accomodated by busy lifestyle, I find myself missing the face-to-face interaction and pacing of tabletop games.
Prior to my decade hiatus, I used to play D&D 2.0 in the Forgotten Realms and Dark Sun settings. I particularly involved the diversity of the Forgetten Realms Campaign and its history. The Dark Sun setting was such a departure from everything else that TSR was doing that I couldn't help but enjoy it. (I'm a sucker for psionics to this day.) Lately, I've been playing and DMing games in Eberron, and I find that I really enjoy the pulp feel of the setting. A more recent interest is in the nWoD setting. I haven't played in that system yet but would love to give it a spin sometime with an experienced Storyteller at the helm.
I have been playing in a Star Wars Saga Edition game for the past nine months and have really enjoyed that. Since my Star Wars group isn't into D&D 4E and I'd like to give it a try, I'm looking for a monthly 4E gaming group in the area.
I tend to think of RPGs as collective storytelling. Therefore, I like play in and DM games that have a good mix of roleplay and combat.
