What are you looking for?:
I'm a veteran DM looking for more players in the SW Houston area for my 3.5 edition D&D campaign. Games will meet on alternate Sundays, from 1PM to whenever we feel like stopping. We currently have 3 players, so I'm looking for 2-3 more.
In a world nearly overrun by monsters the fate of what remains of civilization may well be in your hands. Will you earn the gratitude of the people by patrolling roads and defending settlements? Seek out ruins and dungeons to explore in search of lost riches? Become a player in the struggle between noble houses for control of the kingdom? You get to decide, and the decisions you make will shape the course of the campaign and ultimately save or doom the kingdom.
After two sessions the group has fought kobald bandits, saved a farm hold from goblin raiders, met some NPCs and picked up a few adventure leads. So there's still plenty of time to influence what direction the campaign takes...
I started gaming with the original Dungeons & Dragons booklets in 1978, and I've been GMing since 1980 or so. I run open-ended games where the party has a lot of options about what to do, and their decisions have real consequences. I've run and played D&D, Champions, Traveller, GURPS, Cyberpunk, Amber and all sorts of older games, but I haven't tried much of the newer stuff.
