hey there folks! hope all is well. I went over to another PbP site (basket weavers or something like that...) and after MANY failed games and lost players, i have come back to PPG.
I am looking for SWSE groups from Central CAlifornia or PbP here. I am willing to give other avenues of gaming a...
Ahh.. Listening to this made me long for going back to GenCon. It's been a couple of years now...
Some good tips in there though -- definitely practical.

Now that we've settled in with the new chat room software and I've finally managed to get the dice roller stable, I've started working on expanding the dice rolling functions beyond the mundane roll-x-die-y-times. The first and most requested feature was for exploding dice. And what red blooded...
I think there might be a link the chat client for a user focused manual, but I can't access it at the moment. Damned firewalls at work.
I noticed some oddities with this as well and planned to work on it. More accurately, I think it would say d20 (16) + 2 (2). That is accurate, but not...
You only received the "generic" systems because you had not gone into a specific section to upload your file. If you were in the Fantasy section, you'd get the fantasy options + generic.
It is already possible to reference a URL, but I may have only enabled that for special guests and...
For now there is not. That isn't a feature they built into it, but there is a way for me to approximate it outside of the flash interface using their API. Basically, you'd reserve a room through P&PG and then it would password protect it under the hood.
Not sure.
Just an update. I turned my attention towards getting a new chat software setup for a while, which was involved to get things like dice rollers working, etc. I'm wrapping that up, so I'll be coming back around to the Downloads section soon.
You cannot. It only allows creating rooms from the admin panel or through the API. I may add an external tool that will let you reserve a room, so to speak. But that will be later on. For now though, you'll have to use the pre-generated gaming rooms.
Very cool. From the little I read, that setting seems pretty awesome -- definitely up my alley. Alas, I'm already in a group and about to start a new Iron Kingdom's campaign or I'd definitely consider it.
Thanks, JP.
And, I have the new chat room software all picked out actually, and it specifically supports apps for the iPad, iPhone and Android. It also has an HTML5 interface for those who don't want to use Flash -- and it does support video chat if we ever decide to turn that on.
