As either a player of GM, I am looking for fellow gamers who are good at verbalizing their imaginations and comfortable with theatrical style role play, but at the same time are not afraid of picking up a rule book and learning about combat and game mechanics. I tend to prefer less frequent combats, but like the more challenging, epic fight rather than the boring grind of taking out endless easy foes.
I currently run a Pathfinder game for some of my family members, but would love to get back into doing something with the Hero System (6th edition). I have been gaming for about 24 years now, and have come to really enjoy the interactive storytelling and creative aspects of it, as well as a smooth system mechanic and good, objective rules by which to measure character success. I started off with D&D, but have played some Paladium games, including TNMT. I also played a lot of Rolemaster and MERPS back in the day, but have since focused mostly on Hero. I play Pathfinder now because my current gaming group prefers it, and the quality of their books, adventures and so forth is amazing, but it is not my favorite system.
