What are you looking for?:

I am primarily looking to play online right now.

I am a GM or a player, but I am primarily a GM looking to improve and practice his GM ing skills. I am currently in the development of an RPG game and consequently want more experience just understanding how players think and in running a game. My preference is heavy role-playing and dialogue, and lots of character development, but I still enjoy my combat if it's done right. I generally prefer flow and feel of combat over dice numbers and crunching, and want the game to feel immersing. In my opinion, the best role-playing games involve a character's development over time, both in personal goals and personality change, and in number growth. The actuality of their goals is what makes for an interesting game to me. I prefer high fantasy and sword and sorcery type genres such as Dungeons & Dragons, but I like just about any setting done right. If you are a player and one of my games, expect more of a rules light and improvisational style and less accuracy to the rules, and expect me to want you to talk in character as much as possible.

About Me

Biography:

I am 21 years old. I have been an avid Dungeons & Dragons role player for about a year and a half now, but have been interested and researched the genre since about my freshman year in high school, which was also about the same time I began developing my own RPG engine. Starting last August I ran a weekly year-long D&D campaign off and on, in addition to running several one-shot campaigns throughout the year, gaining myself a decent amount of experience. I'm currently a part of a weekly D&D 3.5 campaign, in addition to the occasional play test of my engine which is under development. I have played and dabbled in a small amount of GURPS, castles and Crusades, and have at least read through the rulebooks of several other role-playing game engines, including Scion, Savage worlds, and other light games. I currently have wrist problems and thus I'm not going to school or working full-time, and so I have tons of free time throughout the week for role-playing. I role-play rather frequently, and it is always an option when I am hanging out with people to just quickly play some D&D, which happens quite frequently.
