What are you looking for?

I am looking for a group that has fun playing the game, but still appreciates a good story and immersion of character. I believe that excessive rule-lawyering only slows down the game for everyone, and while cheating also robs the game of some of its charm, prefer to keep the focus on the character interactions.

About Me

Biography

I started my gaming career with Dungeons and Dragons, 2nd edition, back in 1999, and evolved to 3rd edition shortly after it came out. From there I branched out, gaining a love for Shadowrun and Legend of the Five Rings, as well as reluctantly purchasing the 3.5 books for Dungeons and Dragons.

To my equal parts dismay/everlasting joy, I DM more often that I PC. As a DM, I focus more on role-playing than I do combat, having DM’d more than one session where a die was never rolled, but plenty of drama and conflict resolved all the same. Also, as a DM for Dungeons and Dragons, I would like to add my name to the list of victims to adding the Deck of Many Things to a campaign, wondering “how bad could it be?”

Right now, I'm looking to play in just about anything, or DM an intrigue-based Legend of the Five Rings campaign or a 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I specialize in DM'ing with new players, but any experience level is welcome.
