Players who enjoy both story and combat, are easy to get along with and play well with others. I usually aim to run heroic campaigns where violence isn't the only option, and encourage players to come up with interesting solutions to problems. Approximately 60% Role Playing 40% Combat.
I've been running RPGs for over 12 years. Out of all the games I’ve run, I found Exalted to be the most fun. Whereas in some games a starting character can get beat up by a big guy with a stick, Exalted characters shine from day one. Since the game came out I have run over hundreds of sessions with many different players. Of course I also enjoy playing games, mostly Exalted and Pathfinder. My Storyteller style is more cinematic than mechanical, and I will omit some rules that slow down the game to focus on just having fun (which is the point, after all). I’m big on overarching storylines with dozens of supporting characters and legendary weapons with stories of their own. As a Storyteller, one of the most rewarding things I can hear is a former player reminiscing about how awesome a particular adventure was years ago.
I run or play games every Tuesday evening. My current base of operations is the comic and game shop Warriors 3 in Wayne, MI which is owned by some of my friends. They have lots of space (especially on Tuesdays) and it's great for gaming.
