What really sets tabletop apart from CRPG's and MMORPG's is the flexible and interactive storytelling, that is, the roleplaying, and I'd like to capitalize on that. Of course, while I would rather err on the side of too much story and characters than too much combat, nothing is satisfying in quite the same way as when your dwarf rolls a 20 and rips out the dragon's spleen with his axe.
About Me
Biography
Most of my experience, both as a player and Dungeon Master, is with 3rd and 3.5 D&D. That's what most of my materials are for, and what I'll probably run a campaign for when I'm the DM, though I have so real preference in campaign setting. That said, I have also run a couple of d20 Star Wars campaigns, a Mutants and Masterminds campaign, a LotR campaign, and one campaign with Monte Cooke's alternate 3rd edition Arcana Unearthed (as opposed to Unearthed Arcana). I have no real preference as to ruleset or setting, but if you want me to GM I might be worse at improvising in and need a bit more time to prepare, say, a Shadowrun or 4e campaign than one in Eberron or Ptolus, so I might not be able to run as long a session.
As far as schedule goes, my work is flexible enough that really any time works except for about 8am-Noon on Sundays for Church, so long as it's consistent. I am, however, in the Navy Reserve, so one weekend a month I'll be out of pocket until about 5ish on Saturday and Sunday.
