I enjoy games where combat is a real part of the story, however isn't necessarily the best solution to every problem. Monster slaying is a lot of fun, but it has to make sense, and sometimes, there has to be a better way (but not always! :))
Currently not playing in any games. Only experienced with D&D 3.5 at this point and even that experience is somewhat limited. Experienced enough to craft a character or two with backstory and what not, maybe even be somewhat decent of a build, but nowhere near an 'optimizer' that's going to break anyone's game.
