What are you looking for?:
I'm equally content running a game and playing a game. Games I run tend to be about 75% roleplaying. As a player, I generally play characters which are a bit more cerebral and stealthy -- thus I prefer a game that is at least 50% roleplaying.
Aside from my own fiction setting, I am fairly open in regard to story setting. I am also reasonably open in regard to game system. However, following my normal tendencies toward combat-light games, I also prefer systems that are less crunchy. The Palladium system is not one I enjoy.
About Me
Biography:
I am a software engineer whose hobbies include table-top RPGs, writing, photography and drawing. My first RPG was Call of Cthulhu and the influence of H. P. Lovecraft still shows.
Over the last two and a half years I've been developing a fiction setting, Gaeana. The main setting book is still at least six months from completion (3rd draft). To accompany that setting I've developed the 7 Elements cooperative storytelling system (a loose derivative of d20). It is 95% complete, lacking only minor passages and tweaks. It has been playtested for over a year already.
This year my wife and I got married and bought a house. As a result we've moved about 50 miles from where we lived previously and consequently have fallen out of touch with our gaming friends. Now living in a new area I'm hoping to find some nearby gamers that I connect with and get back into one of my favorite hobbies.
