    Hello,

    I'm looking to start a new Dungeons and Dragons (4th or 3rd depending on what people want) game and reading your profile you seem like the kind of player.

    the setting is the massive walled city Seraph, the last bastion of civilization in a world dominated by a massive and dangerous wilderness. The city is plagued by a number of problems from religious infighting, the treacherous senatorial politics, the limited food resources of the city's "Agricultural Zone" and the intrusion of monsters through the decaying city walls. The characters are members of a Senator sponsored "Intrusion Prevention" group, paid to prevent the beasts and creatures of the "Wild" and the sudden influx of back to nature cults that have begun to find foothold in the city from harming the citizens. The game will involve combat scenarios and political/social interaction.

What are you looking for?:
I am looking for good balance between combat and role playing. Though the combat has to make sense when it does happen. Not just because it is a random event. Plus I am looking for a game that that includes a focus on character development, and I do not just mean increases to game stats. Of late I have become more interested in futuristic / science fiction settings.

I have mostly played D & D (not all settings), White Wolf (WW and Vamp only), and a few others systems at least once. I would ideally be looking for a group once a week. Mostly because of work on other priorities etc.
