What are you looking for?:
Ideally, a game would be an outlet for some creativity, giving the players a lot of flexibility in terms of solutions or plot direction. The hack and slash can be fun, but what makes games for me is how the players approach it, and the decisions they make beforehand in RP among themselves or within the setting.
It's been a while since I've played regularly, usually D&D3.5 settings with a lot of homebrew stuff involved. I've seen a little of 4th edition, but I'm not as comfortable with it just yet.
As for myself, I do accounting and economics, and I've written tax policy proposals for fun. You can't scare me with detail in a game setting, trust me.
