My most rewarding experiences have been with D&D groups that have endured for a long time. I would love to find myself in that situation again. A key requirement I have is to be in a regular roleplaying game that _consistently_ runs at a regular time and does not change that time without a lot of advance notice.
About Me
Biography:
I've been an on-and-off D&D player and DM for almost 25 years. I believe I have a good balance of roleplaying ability and combat ability and like to find a similar balance when I play. I have a firm grasp of the D&D ruleset (3.5e and 4e) and can pick up other systems quickly. I believe my characters have unique personalities and I have reason to believe that I "play well with others." I've never been accused of being a rules lawyer, a spotlight hog, a thespian or a munchkin. I tend to show up on time for games and participate in inter-session activities (like blogs and email). I've never been in the habit of being a no-show and certainly won't do so without giving you ample warning.
I'm willing to try other gaming systems and genres but find that I enjoy fantasy games most and I lean towards D&D. Other games I have tried include: Top Secret, Paranoia, Champions, GURPS, Shadowrun, Spycraft, Call of Cthulhu and Legend of the Five Rings.
Since 2001, I've been an active player in RPGA events (mostly Living Greyhawk). I have authored or co-authored over a dozen adventures for the RPGA. I enjoy the variability and diversity of RPGA play, but I also like to have a regular home game that I can count on for a consistently good experience.
